sir it is given in chemistry dat acc 2 Henry's Law, the solubility of oxygen in blood at higher altitudes decreases resulting in anoxia... but we learnt last year dat haemoglobin combines wid oxygen forming oxyH this contradicts the fact dat oxygen is directly DISSOLVED IN BLOOD...... which is correct sir??? plzzz explain sir.......
97 % oxygen is carried by Hb ( RBC) while remaining 3 % is transported in dissolved form in Plasma. Overall reaction to form oxyhemoglobin depends on ability of oxygen to dissolve in water/ plasma.
Solubility of Oxygen is determined by PO2 in atmosphere which is lower at high altitude . Remember O2 does not react in gaseous phase but only in aqueous soln
